For My Blog Friends
I did something today that I probably shouldn't have done. I calculated how many visitors I've had on my websites and blogs.
I thought I'd share it with you.In the past 64 hours ....
at my website Go Ask Katie I've had 132 visitors
at my shop site Gifts By Katherine I've had 139 visitors ( but no buyers)
here at my blog Katherine's Corner I've had 59 readers ( I hope not just people on entrecard and link referral cruising through?)
So, today I want to say THANK YOU.
Yes, thank you. Thank you to those wonderful readers who stopped in to share my thoughts, visions , stories and photos. Thank you for making comments ( I love them) and for being my blogger friend. Instead of dwelling on the fact that my blogs and websites are being lost among the internet chaos. I am grateful. Grateful for every one of my visitors no matter how few.
But if you have any suggestions to help get more traffic to my sites and blog you know I want to hear them, giggle. HUGS!

Sometimes it's good to look at all the statistics. Sometimes when I do, thouh, I start wondering why no one comments. Tanks for being one of those who do comment. Have a great week.
I feel your pain! I see all the hits and wonder the same thing. I fail miserably, or am I miserable when I fail....hhhmmm perhaps both. So I keep trying new tactics and eventually, one day something will work. It has too...I think :O)
I love your blog, glad I found it through entrecard even though it isn't really working for me.
Have a great day

I find that more people visit my blogs than leave comments. I also appreciate the visits. I read your blog all the time, I just don't always leave comments. I do love reading what you have to post.
I love all of your sites and I'll keep visiting :)
Don't be disappointed if folks don't comment. I've found over time that people read, but either someone else said what they were thinking or it's a subject they don't know about. If you want to be certain people respond, if you make your posts open-ended, it engages conversation on the subject. It's the weirdest thing, but I find if you start a conversation, people are excited to comment back and forth with each other and you just stand back and read the fun conversation going on. Of course, it's also cyclical. January is a very lame-o month. As we go into summer and fall, it goes nuts. You have a great readership--that's something to be very proud of. Congrats!
Awww that's a lovely way of looking at it! :)
Don't look at the stats, Katherine, it will drive you nuts. Write for you and the friends who come by regularly. Don't worry about numbers and drops--they don't matter. What matters is what you post and if you are happy doing it--the rest is just numbers. :)
Hi Katie. I find that if you want readers to comment on your site you need to go to theirs and comment. It's fun in both directions. All the best. But you are right, more people visit than comment. - Dave
I understand. I don't look at my stats; it's very emotional to do so!
You all make me smile. Thank you for the love!
Getting readers is tuff but I am with you Katie. I am thankful for all my friends on the internet. This is why I have decided to curb my energy and put it all in to my artistic ventures. Please come visit my blog at Handcrafted jewelry USA because I am letting my other blog go. Let's keep in touch more.
