Living Green

It’s “Earth Week” and “Earth Day” is the 22nd of April. We (my husband and I) do our best to celebrate “Earth Day” every day. We have recycle bins in our garage and I take them to the recycler once a week. Our area does not have a recycle program associated with garbage pickup. It is under consideration. But, no changes have been made yet. We take our responsibility very seriously and we do what we can to reduce, reuse and recycle whenever possible. We both drive fuel friendly cars to lessen our carbon footprint and we encourage our family and friends to do what they can as well. We stopped buying paper napkins a long time ago and we have a large drawer filled with cloth napkins. Using cloth napkins is not only earth friendly, but helps to make each meal a little special.

I thought you might appreciate a short list of Living Green books ( in no specific order), there are several to choose from. Remember it all starts with that critical and simple first step.

And a happy Earth Day to you, too! We've been composting for years, and now my husband has placed some boxes out in the backyard for planting veggies. It's a nice time to be alive!
